Guindy Children's Park

Last week I had some relatives at my home and we planned to go out. But there was some time restrictions and so we cannot move too far away from Chennai. So we tried to find the places in Chennai which can be seen with in the given span of time. After long discussions finally we have decided to visit the Guindy Children’s park which is located next to Adyar Cancer Hospital.

Actually I didn’t have much expectations about that park and just wanted to see what is there specially. But when i went there I found it is a great location and really I am surprised to see such a vast area that too with in the city.

The Park is very cool and greenish because of trees. We can call it as really a mini version of Vandaloor Zoo. It has Aquarium, Various Types of Peacocks, Deers, Snakes and Monkeys. We can see some Deers which is roaming outside where the people were moving close with that and taking photos.

Even though the management has placed boards everywhere not to give any food to the animals , our people never mind that and throwing food materials. But none of the park’s staff controls them.

They have wide area for Car Parking and now they are constructing a concrete floor for the same. Also more renovation work is going on in foot paths and other areas. Hope this park will looks more better after completion of these works.

The park has some play area for the children with Slides, Multiplay Systems, Swings, climbers etc.. Our Kids enjoyed the trip like anything.

The entry fee is also not much high

Upto 5 Years – No fee
From 5 to 12  –  Rs. 5
For Adults    –  Rs. 20
Camera         – Rs.20
Video Camera  – Rs. 100

It is really nice place to visit with family and children for minimum cost and time.
